This work is underpinned by effective contract lifecycle management, and we are seeking a Contracts Consultant to support the preparation, execution and ongoing management of new and existing contracts with Caterpillar’s strategic mining accounts.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in the creation of relationship and supply contracts.
- Review contracts for compliance with established risk profiles.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support tender responses.
- Identify and interpret existing contractual rights and obligations.
- Recommend process improvements for improved contract lifecycle management efficiency and outcomes.
Education Requirement:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

- Supports account management team to implement account strategy.
- Reviews industry journals and company reports to remain current on industry-wide and customer-specific thematics and strategic imperatives.

- Presents product, technology or service costs and benefits in response to customer requests.
- Understands general concepts, practices and benefits of value-based versus product selling.
- Pursues additional 'value selling' education or training to enhance traditional sales practices.
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
- Confidence in using AI tools (such as Copilot) to bridge knowledge gaps.
- Prior experience in negotiating or drafting contracts, which will be highly regarded.

Summary Pay Range:
$110,520.00 - $165,840.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
