JOB PURPOSE:
This is a Team Lead position responsible for managing and guiding the team to support in deploying and maintenance of Product configuration of Machines in SAP/Teamcenter and other Caterpillar system to various manufacturing facilities by providing coordination to cross functional teams to accomplish the needs of the order to delivery support.
JOB DUTIES:
Responsibilities:
The incumbent will support machine product compatibility requirements of all Business Unit / Product Group New Product Introduction (NPI) programs, transitioning of product to new manufacturing source facilities and introduction of product for Joint Ventures and Mergers and Acquisitions. Supports the development and deployment of LEAN throughout the order data management processes. Participate in Caterpillar Order Environment development activities and related business process enhancements that enable improve in the effectiveness and efficiency of prime product order management.
• Managing staffing, development, and performance management programs by motivating and developing project and team leaders.
• Managing high-impact, short and long duration process initiatives and projects; ensuring achievement of process compliance and product quality.
• Maintaining product configuration and driving programs to completion on time and within budget.
Assignments include Deployment of ERP in Manufacturing facilities, Maintaining of machine configuration in Caterpillar systems. Coordinate with NPI to launch the new products. Update the current machines with appropriate engineering changes, resource management, systems planning, process standards etc. and requires the coordination of all disciplines this person is responsible for being an integral part of developing and delivering an effective product configuration solution for our business which leverages different Caterpillar systems and industry standard best practices.
Ability to effectively communicate with business customers and maintain relationships across commercial product groups, assist team members and customers with problem solving related to order to delivery support and/or participate (through expertise) on problems outside specific assignment to ensure business operations are not interrupted or delayed.
Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Understanding of the importance of remaining aware of shifting market priorities and ability to respond to internal and external customer needs in a manner that consistently adds value.
Knowledge of processes involved in managing people; ability to lead successful teams and diligently address issues related to performance and conflicts at the workplace.
Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:
Requires a technical or university degree in an appropriate manufacturing or engineering related field, previous supervisory experience desired and at least Ten to Twelve years Manufacturing experience. Requires a thorough knowledge of the Product, Process manufacturing, operations, execution, analytical ability as well as best communication skills. Highly motivated, self-directed, effectively lead efforts, including delivery of projects, work in a highly dynamic diversified team with fast paced environment.
