Ops Research Analysis Lead
KBR is seeking a Senior Ops Research Analysis Lead with in-depth knowledge of Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis of satellite systems for the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community. Be part of our team supporting our customers in Chantilly, VA. Delivering mission-critical modeling and simulation and data analysis of enterprise capabilities, directly supporting architecture planning and design for overhead systems. We lead architectural assessments and report recommendations to senior US Government personnel, guiding enterprise-wide analyses impacting acquisition needs for the next 10-20 years. These systems deliver collected data distributed to the US Government Intelligence Community and Military users.
The Senior Enterprise Analysis Lead serves as a technical advisor to support the Government in analyzing complex space system needs for the intelligence and DoD communities. The leadership team embraces innovation in a relentless effort to meet intelligence needs and shorten the timelines to provide actionable, critical information to US Government decision-makers. This is a position of trust advising the US Government and supporting critical missions focused on Mission Integration and Warfighter Support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support mission analysis assessments and studies with external partners and in partnership with Directorates and Program Offices
- Plan modeling simulation assessments of architecture impacts, architecture trades, and architecture performance assessments with the Enterprise Portfolio Manager, Chief Architect, and Government Analysis Portfolio Lead
- Manage development, test, and validation of systems assessment methodologies and tools such as AFSIM, STK, SOAP, MATLAB, and potentially organically developed software
- Analysis of space systems, performance metrics, timelines, and models
- Identify and document issues impacting both spacecraft and ground systems through objective analysis and processes
- Support orbital analysis, including threat assessments/impacts, trades, and analyses
- Communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Interface with customers, directorate/office representatives, and across system engineering groups to drive resolution plans and strategies for complex technical challenges and provide recommendations and guidance to the Government point of contact
- Generate and maintain technical documentation and reports

Required qualifications:
- Clearance: TS/SCI with Poly
- Education: STEM bachelor’s degree
- Minimum Years of Experience: 10+ years of space-related IC or DoD experience
- Knowledge of satellite relevance to the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community's unique missions
- Experience in software development with object-oriented design, version control practices, and agile tools and processes
Desired qualifications:
- Education: STEM Master’s degree
- Analytical Tools: AFSIM, STK, SOAP, MATLAB, Python
- Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering tools and languages
- Experience with USSF or USAF modeling and simulation groups
