About the Role
As a Strategic Professional Services Engineer on the Cross Strategy & Operations Team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and scaling internal tools and platforms that serve multiple client-facing pods. Rather than focusing solely on writing code, you’ll take ownership of cross-functional programs, coordinate across stakeholders, and ensure that our systems evolve into scalable, maintainable, and impactful solutions.
You will collaborate with engineers, implementation managers, and internal stakeholders to align on priorities, identify opportunities for automation, and ensure the successful delivery of high-leverage tooling and shared infrastructure. Your work will help us operationalize strategic initiatives, reduce delivery friction, and support the broader growth of our Professional Services capabilities.
Your work will directly influence how we optimize client implementations, reduce human error, and create maintainable, future-ready systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive strategic initiatives such as internal tools development, shared automation, and cross-pod platform services, with a focus on program coordination, roadmap planning, and execution.
Partner with technical leads to shape architecture and product direction, ensuring we build reusable, scalable systems that support client delivery.
Coordinate across pods to identify bottlenecks, align on tooling needs, and champion consistency in how we build and deliver.
Translate internal needs into well-scoped projects by facilitating communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proactively escalate risks, track dependencies, and remove blockers, ensuring initiatives stay on track and add value.
Provide technical context when needed (e.g. reviewing proposals, shaping backend/frontend interfaces), while relying on hands-on engineers for execution when appropriate.
About You
Basic Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in a technical role involving cross-functional collaboration, such as professional services engineering, technical solutions architecture, technical program management, or senior-level technical support (Tier 3+).
Strong understanding of modern software development (Python, MongoDB, containers, CI/CD), with the ability to navigate technical conversations and evaluate solution tradeoffs.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, coordinate across stakeholders, and drive alignment in fast-paced environments.
A mindset oriented around system design, automation, and process improvement.
Excellent communication skills and comfort working across technical and non-technical roles.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience shaping internal tooling or platform services across teams.
Familiarity with microservices, Kubernetes, observability tooling (e.g., Grafana, Sentry).
Strong organization and project tracking skills (e.g., using JIRA, Confluence).
Prior exposure to Professional Services or client-delivery environments is a plus.
A builder’s mentality with a strategic lens, you know when to zoom into details and when to zoom out to the bigger picture.
Excellent communication in English, with the ability to document and share learnings clearly.
