About the role:
Caterpillar’s Job Site Solutions group, part of the Resource Industries Sales Services and Technology (RISST) division is currently seeking a Fleet Manager.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and fulfilling specific contractual commitments in a profitable manner. These commitments include specific deliverables in equipment management, production optimization, safety, sustainability, and financial performance.
You will work directly with customer and Cat Dealer executive management, plant management and equipment operators.
The Fleet Manager has primary responsibility for managing the dealer partnership assuring strong relations and profitable dealer results.
Job and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Leading the customer engagements and providing matrix leadership for contract execution
Achieving alignment of various parties within Caterpillar, dealer, and customer organizations
Partnering with dealer personnel to direct the day-to-day activity related to contractual commitments at each site
Successfully delivering on all areas of contractual commitments by utilizing a complete understanding of Caterpillar and dealer capability.
Utilizing deep subject matter expertise in equipment management, production optimization, safety, sustainability and financial structuring, provide a clear vision for success and drive execution to achieve commitments
Providing and applying solutions to problems in a customer-working environment
Working with Caterpillar Product Groups and other internal business units to ensure complete understanding of the technical and operational capabilities of our equipment, technologies, and services.
Creating innovative new value-added capabilities to improve site operations in a manner that allows Caterpillar and dealers to grow profitability and reduce risk.

Negotiating: Basic knowledge of successful negotiation concepts and techniques; ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner.
Relationship Management: Working knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
Technical Excellence: Extensive knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.
Value Selling: Extensive knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology and services; ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of progressively responsible job-related experience OR 5+ years Direct Field Experience working with / for Caterpillar Dealers and/or Customers
3+ Years Direct Customer Sales/Product Support Experience
Knowledge of English language (Arabic and French as additional asset).
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
Working knowledge of technology products, financial products, machines, product support, labor relations, safety and environment operations
Superior relationship building skills and the ability to execute through a team of Caterpillar, Dealer, and Customer personnel
Superior communication skills – both written and verbal – that range from operational and technical discussions to Dealer Principal and Executive presentations
Demonstrate deep subject matter expertise and experience in the management of equipment fleets or direct responsibility for maintenance & repair contract management
Deep product knowledge, application experience with equipment and production technologies, and the ability to successfully manage contracts to profitability
Additional information:
Business travel time dedicated for this role – up to 50%.
No ISE/Relocation Support to be provided for this opportunity
This is an onsite role, 5 days a week
