Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.
- Prepare cash flow projections and ensure liquidity management.
- Oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll processes.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP and local regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and implement recommendations.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and dashboards.
- Present financial performance and insights to senior management and stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
- Implement financial controls to safeguard company assets.
- Assess and manage financial risks, including currency, credit, and operational risks.
- Develop strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring high performance and professional development.
- Foster collaboration with other departments (procurement, operations, project controls).
- Provide financial input for business cases, investment decisions, and strategic initiatives.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions as needed.
Education, Skills & Experience:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics (Master’s or CPA/CFA preferred).
Experience and Skill set
- Minimum 15 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and financial software (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
