Job Description
Based in New York City, Cushman & Wakefield’s Strategic Advisory Group provides comprehensive real estate consulting and analytical services on a local, national and international basis. The Group is responsible for advising occupiers ranging from local business to international corporations with underwriting, structuring, and supporting the execution of commercial real estate transactions. This entails, but is not limited to:
- Advising real estate occupier clients through real estate planning and transaction structuring- addressing leasing, purchasing, consolidating, relocating, subleasing, selling, redeveloping, restructuring, expanding, contracting, and terminating in the context of a commercial real estate occupier.
- Supporting real estate advisory engagements through financial analysis, scenario modeling, and reporting.
- Collaborating with senior team members to evaluate market dynamics, lease structures, and client objectives.
- Contributing to the development of presentations, proposals, and client deliverables.
- Supporting the development of best practices and continuous improvement in internal team and company processes.
- Orchestrating property, landlord, tenant, and lease due diligence
- Directing targeted market research, evaluation and projections
- Financial modeling (cash flow and GAAP P&L) and “What-If” sensitivity studies
- Broad-based corporate real estate advisory work
- Teaming with other C&W service lines (brokerage, investment sales, project management, etc.) in business development efforts for new potential clients
Principal Responsibilities
- Perform detailed financial analyses including lease comparisons, NPV modeling, and sensitivity testing.
- Assist in scenario planning and strategic evaluations for client real estate portfolios.
- Prepare client-facing materials including reports, presentations, and dashboards.
- Conduct primary market research and qualitative assessments to support advisory recommendations.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (e.g., brokerage, research, sustainability, project management) to integrate cross-functional insights.
- Support due diligence efforts including landlord assessments and commute studies.
- Maintain accuracy and consistency in data management and reporting tools.
Knowledge And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree with 1+ years related industry experience
- Highly motivated and has demonstrated academic achievement, consistent leadership involvement, and interest in the real estate sector
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Argus, Tableau, or similar tools preferred.
- New York State Real Estate Salesperson license (a plus)
- Excellent listening, planning, organization and interpersonal skills
- Ability to function in a team-oriented setting while working independently with limited day-to-day supervision
- Ability to construct, apply, and analyze complex financial models and lease accounting principles
- Senior personnel is confident that with clear guidance and supervision, Analyst will execute analysis that is done accurately, efficiently, and which reflects an understanding of project and client objectives
- Demonstrates ability to move logically from findings to conclusions
- Organizes and articulates findings effectively
- Executes reliably on well-defined assignments
- Consistently delivers completed, quality work on agreed-upon schedule
- Proactively solicits feedback; asks for help when needed; and demonstrates ability to manage expectations of others

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
The compensation for the position is: $ 72,250.00 - $85,000.00
