Would be the primary quality interface for customers and suppliers for all High Temperature Composites programs (HTC)
-
Ensure the HTC program meets all Quality & Mission Assurance requirements, will create the quality plan for each HTC customer/program and work on the compliance matrix.

Coordinating with Engineering, VSL and overseeing contracts through all program Lifecycle phases, from design to production and sustainment.

Develop and monitor quality metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives for HTC.

Certified DSQR for External HTC customers

Work with supplier quality to validate acceptability of supply chain approach and integrate new vendors, as applicable

Work with Engineering to draft new process specification and inspection criterion, as necessary
-
Work with procurement on quality notes/requirements for purchase orders

Works closely with Engineering and VSL to enforce process maturity, transition to production activities, and Conduct Production Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), gage R&R and Control plan.

Work with operation on First Article Inspection, and Quality Control Plan efforts and play a key role on submitting MRB and FAI to customers.

The PQE will work as part of the QA Team, conducting day to day Quality Assurance activities for HTC at the same time as engaging with key stakeholders across the organization (contracts, buyers, production control and operation)

The PQE will engage on both strategic and tactical levels, focusing on quality and schedule performance, early engagement, influencing and providing differentiating quality value to program teams and customers

The PQE will review and approve changes to the technical data packages (ES), drawings, operation documents and assign actions when necessary.

Support cross-functional team in, Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations, including identifying non-conformances, providing solutions, tracking issues to closure. Implement projects and processes to ensure overall quality is continuously improving

Support quality investigations related to production deviations, non-conformances, and customer complaints.

Will be required to implement Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) in accordance with AS9145 and AS13100 (P&W)

Travel may be required up to 30%
Qualifications You Must Have:
-
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience

Experience in interfacing with internal and external customers as well as all levels of personnel.

Working experience in supporting design and/or manufacturing process
-
Experience with root cause corrective action (RCCA) and applying quality methodology and tool
-
Experience in process validation and statistical methods
-
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer

Experience in any of the following is highly desired: Six Sigma or Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)

Experienced in 8D, quality tools, 5 Whys of Root Cause Analysis, and SPC analysis.

Experience as a lead for cross-functional team and provide forecasting to reach established goals.

Experience assimilating, analyzing, and presenting data to leaders, customers, and peers.

Working experience with drawings/specs and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
