Under the direction of the EH&S Manager you’ll support and implement Safety and Environmental programs including: LOTO, Electrical Safety, Machine Guarding, Contractor Safety and Job Hazard Assessments

Monitoring, administering, evaluating and coordinating company EH&S programs to ensure a safe workplace

Developing and advising employee workplace programs related to safety and developing safety-focused activities and policies
-
Coordinating confirmation of policies and programs in accordance with industry and government regulations
-
Collaborating across departments to achieve and maintain consistency of EH&S program implementation
-
Conducting regular site inspections for compliance with EH&S programs
-
Analyzing leading and lagging safety performance indicators for trends to drive corrective actions
-
Serving as EHS representative for assigned building and functional safety councils
-
Conducting injury investigations and root cause analyses, developing corrective actions and tracking to completion

Contributing to the development and implementation of EH&S strategic initiatives that drive continuous improvement
-
Supporting the improvement of business and site EH&S communications plan

Supporting emergency response and enterprise preparedness programs

Providing instructor-led training on various safety topics
-
Providing support for other site EH&S programs such as safety and environmental
-
Supporting the site to meet EH&S requirements for upcoming internal and external audits including Cal VPP, AS9100 and other internal company assessments

10% travel in support of Raytheon and Enterprise initiatives may be required
This job is posted as ONSITE, and is based at Raytheon’s El Segundo, CA facility.
Qualifications You Must Have:
-
Typically Requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field

Experience with either data analysis or root cause / corrective actions
Qualifications We Prefer:
-
Experience managing ergonomic and IH programs.
-
Experience developing and executing RCCAs
-
Experienced conducting and/or developing creative EH&S training.

Ability to handle potentially stressful situations
-
Ability to work with minimal supervision, but will not hesitate to seek additional information from supervisors or peers so tasks can be completed in a timely and accurate manner

The salary range for this role is 72,000 USD - 144,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
