Description:We’re looking for a strategic, hands-on communicator to lead compelling and informative communications for our Operations function – spanning manufacturing, production operations, quality, facilities, environmental safety and health, and supply chain – as well as provide guidance to our Finance and Security teams.
The successful candidate will partner with subject matter experts to understand business priorities, collaborate with peers to create and execute communications plans, and shape how we tell our story through inspiring, mission-focused narratives that connect employees to purpose, performance and culture.
Responsibilities include:
Strategic Leadership
-Develop and execute integrated communications strategies that align Operations goals with enterprise priorities and business outcomes.
-Partner with the Operations vice president and functional executives to define communications objectives, key messages and storytelling opportunities that drive engagement and understanding.
-Anticipate business needs, emerging challenges and workforce trends to advise leadership on proactive communications approaches.
Executive Communications
-Create compelling messages, presentations, video scripts and talking points for senior leaders that reflect authentic leadership and transparency.
-Prepare senior leaders for enterprise-wide engagements.
-Drive consistent executive voice, tone and visual alignment across communications channels.
Functional Integration
-Serve as a connection point between corporate and business area communications teams, ensuring alignment to enterprise-wide initiatives and global relevancy.
-Measure engagement and adoption through available analytics and feedback loops to continuously improve recommendations.
Partnership
-Proactively coordinate with Operations leaders to identify engagement opportunities and create compelling and informative content to help keep the organization informed and engaged.
-Partner with Human Resources to understand the employee population.
-Collaborate with peers to plan and execute strategic communication campaigns for enterprise-wide initiatives like National Safety Month, Manufacturing Day and World Quality Month.
-Manage the creation of graphics, photos and videos with the visual communications team.
-Support other special projects, as required.
Reporting to the RMS Functional Communications manager, the successful candidate will have an opportunity to impact business priorities every day.
Basic Qualifications:-Exceptional writing, presentation and storytelling skills with attention to accuracy, clarity and tone.
-Proven ability to counsel senior leaders and manage complex, matrixed communications.
-Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in communications, public relations, and/or equivalent field.
Desired Skills:-A proactive, collaborative, creative, accountable teammate who is able to adjust and respond to feedback.
-Strong project management, prioritization and decision-making abilities.

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $103,700 - $179,860. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
