Where is the work:
Trane Technologies is hiring a Production Planner in Grand Rapids, MI. In this role, you will, establish, manage, and maintain the production schedule for a selected group of products. Act as single point of contact of the plant for all customer accounts, managing the entire order life cycle to ensure orders are processed on time, collaborate with other functional teams to ensure customer’s expectations and requirements are met. The position reports to the Master Scheduler.
Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred or 4+ years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree. High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or customer service.
- Experience with production scheduling
- Oracle/ERP experience preferred.
- APICS Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) preferred.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) required. Advanced excel skills preferred.
Key Competencies:
- Ability to effectively make decisions with limited time and information and determine decision making criteria based on priorities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.
- Very detail-oriented, pays close attention to all the small particulars when working on tasks or projects.
- Strong analytical capabilities, personal skills and independent problem resolution.
- Data access/retrieval skills with experience in data analysis, data manipulation using MS Excel and/or other tools as provided. As well as, working knowledge of ERP system.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
- Must have the ability to identify problems, create solutions, and make recommendations.
