Engineer – HIL Validation Engineer:
As an Engineer in Power Solutions & Controls Development- LPSD India team, you will serve as an experienced technical lead on complex projects involving testing and validation of embedded control systems using Hardware in the loop systems. This will involve planning HIL validation projects and leading a team of engineers in test case development and execution. You will work with the global team of HIL and controls engineers in ensuring a defect free SW.
You should be able to use analysis tools effectively and communicate results to team members to make program decisions. You will also perform data analysis, results review and documentation, project management planning and updates.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Good basic understanding of Gas engines and its working principles.
- Background in control systems and model-based development techniques.
- The candidate should have extensive knowledge of Hardware in the Loop systems, closed loop test case development and 8 years’ experience on dSPACE, NI or equivalent HIL platforms.
- Must have good understanding of datalink protocols like CAN J1939, UDP/TCP IP, etc.,. Prior experience with Vector tools and Matlab/Simulink , and Python programming is a must.
- Experience in modeling dynamic systems using both physics based white box modeling and black box modeling using system identification techniques in time and frequency domain.
- Must have demonstrated excellent analytical skills and have an extensive understanding of complex engineering concepts and applications.
- Requires strong technical leadership skills who can communicate technical information effectively with team members and others in the work.
- Mentor and develop other engineers in the team.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Automobile/Aerospace Engineering,
- Up to 8 years of experience in developing Hardware in the loop systems for powertrain applications.
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
- PhD/Masters degree in an accredited Indian or Global Engineering schools
- Proficiency with GT-Power, Dynasty and closed loop simulations
- Basic proficiency in German language
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ability to perform complex assignments
- Self-starter with strong project management skills
- Working knowledge of Python/VBA to automate tasks
- Enjoys working in a fast paced, technically challenging environment
Ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members and others in work group, as well as employees in other units, customers, and suppliers

• Office Model: This position requires the employee to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.
