Job Summary:
Caterpillar’s Electric Power Division has an exciting opportunity as a Transformation Manager. The Transformation Manager will lead multiple initiatives to understand, analyze, develop and recommend Strategy & Planning (S&P) solutions as a divisional lead. The transformation will develop the team and the LEPS organization to be best in class at project delivery for growth results.
What you will do:
Leads multiple analyses and solution development for key S&P engagement module(s) as a divisional lead. Performs more complex activities.
Map current processes, identify gaps and produce business cases to implement solutions.
Govern the prioritization of all LEPS business improvement projects with a robust and clear methodology.
Works closely with internal partners and external service providers to define the business problem, issues and planned approach for one or more S&P engagement components as a divisional lead.
Oversees performance of S&P engagement data collection, research and reporting activities and staff as a divisional lead.
Coaches team members on best in class project management methods.
Develop process control documentation and governance.
What you will have:
Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
Level Extensive Experience:
• Develops, refines, and communicates tactical plans for LEPS business.
• Provides the governance to the right level of detail as input for strategic plan development.
• Demonstrates the value and necessity of linking tactical plans to overall strategic plan.
• Ensures attention to the detail and dependencies of LEPS business projects.
• Govern the prioritization and plans for allocation of resources in line with unit goals, technical and business objectives.
• Ensures the planning process is integrated with the overall business plan.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Level Expert:
• Works to create a climate that values and rewards good oral and written communication.
• Communicates effectively with diverse audiences, using appropriate media and language.
• Monitors developments in communications tools for potential use by organization.
• Writes reports, articles, or books for distribution to the business or professional community.
• Ensures important messages are clearly understood.

• Coaches LEPS organization to identify complete advanced solutions with interim actions to lead to the complete solution.

• Involves others in creating the vision and supporting communications.
Process Management: Knowledge of business process improvement tools and techniques; ability to understand, monitor, update, control, or enhance existing business or work processes.
Level Extensive Experience:
• Helps others learn the tools and techniques for process value analysis. Carries out process evaluation, diagnosis, and optimization.
• Understanding of techniques for process governance and gap identification.
• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of a major process flow, its components and issues.
• Synchronizes the efforts of, and resource requirements for, several teams within a process.
• Makes the business case for new processes, including their cost-benefit ratios.
• Possesses knowledge of tools and techniques for designing and implementing new processes.

This position is located in Dallas, TX.
Travel up to 30% is required.

Summary Pay Range:
$169,320.00 - $253,920.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
