We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Skills First Talent Program Support Specialist to lead the day-to-day operations of our Skills First internship and apprenticeship programs. In this role, you will help attract and develop candidates who possess in-demand, job-ready skills—even if they do not follow traditional education pathways. You will play a key role in building and sustaining innovative, skills-based talent programs that strengthen our early-career pipeline and deliver high-potential talent to teams across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary point of contact for hiring managers, community partners, and program participants, offering guidance, answering questions, and providing coaching or mentoring as needed.
• Manage end-to-end 6- and 12-month program experiences—including onboarding, offboarding, information sessions, networking opportunities, and professional development activities.
• Coordinate recruitment and outreach to attract candidates from alternative career pathways, including community partners, training providers, and non-traditional talent pools.
• Promote internal awareness of future-talent programs to support participant development, career progression, and conversion into full-time roles.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive program dashboard tracking placements, conversions, retention, satisfaction, and other performance metrics.
• Collect, document, and share best practices internally and externally; collaborate with corporate and community organizations to enhance and expand programming.
• Leverage technology and tools to streamline operations, communication workflows, data tracking, and reporting.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Human Resources, Business Administration) or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in program management, ideally within talent acquisition, workforce development, or career-focused programs.
• Strong understanding of talent-pipeline development and emerging-talent identification.
• Experience designing and delivering effective learning and development experiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong organizational and project-management skills; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Proficiency with technology and software applications that support program management and automation.
• Familiarity with social media platforms to support talent attraction and employer branding initiatives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; capable of using data to drive program improvements.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, adapting to shifting needs and priorities.
• Skilled in identifying trends and recommending curriculum or program enhancements based on business needs.
• Ability to influence without authority using data, communication, and stakeholder relationships.
• Experience managing vendors, community-based partners, and external organizations.
• Experience tracking and updating program budgets.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional)
• Prior experience working with community colleges, bootcamps, apprenticeship providers, or alternative-pathway training institutions.
