Description:What You Will Be Doing Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a full-time Applications Engineer Staff.
In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of new technologies that facilitate the build of our products. The successful candidate will execute the planning, development, and integration of advanced manufacturing technologies to resolve technical manufacturing problems as well as guide the development of the next generation of Manufacturing Technology engineers through day-to-day and high-level technical direction and oversight.
In this role, you will also perform project management functions (budget and schedule management, status reporting, cost benefit analysis, etc.) for both government-funded and internally-funded Manufacturing Technology projects.
This position will support team management decisions including:
• Budgets
• Schedules
• Staffing
• Strategic activities
Assignment area includes engineering and technical support for projects ranging from manufacturing process development and improvements to manufacturing equipment and system specification, procurement, integration and support.
This position requires travel, on average 15-20% domestically and internationally.

- Work experience in Applications, Manufacturing, Process, Quality, or other related Engineering.
- Experience in technical problem solving within manufacturing.

- Experience working government funded development projects.
- Strong technical presentation skills and experience presenting to executive leadership.
- Broad range of technical experience and knowledge of F-35 fabrication, assembly, finishes, and inspection methods and tools.
- Knowledge of industry best practices for a broad range of manufacturing techniques especially related to robotic processes associated with aircraft manufacturing and coating
- Creative approach to technical problem solving.
- Experience with Earned Value Management.
- Sound understanding of business and financial analysis.
- Experience with and/or established working relationships dealing with LM internal and external customers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
