Senior SAP S/4HANA Plan-to-Sustain (P2S) Solution Architect – Aerospace & Defense (Remote)
Immediate Need – Core Architect for S/4HANA Greenfield Transformation
We are seeking a highly experienced SAP S/4HANA Plan-to-Sustain (P2S) Solution Architect to join our Global Digital Transformation organization. This architect will play a critical leadership role in shaping the P2S functional and technical solution for a large-scale, multi-Division S/4HANA greenfield implementation within a complex Aerospace & Defense (A&D) landscape.
This is a pivotal, high-visibility role requiring deep expertise across planning, production, logistics, quality, global trade, sustainment/aftermarket, plant maintenance and EH&S—with strong integration across PLM, MES, external planning and supply chain platforms.
This position requires heavy collaboration with Workstream Leads, DT Leads, Enterprise Architecture, and business stakeholders to ensure a unified OneRTX solution.
What You Will Do:
Lead and Shape the Global S/4HANA P2S Solution Design
-
Own the end-to-end P2S architecture covering demand planning, supply planning, production (discrete/process), plant maintenance, logistics, quality, aftermarket, and EH&S.

Define global design standards, scope boundaries, template governance, and solution traceability—while working in close partnership with DT Workstream Leads.

Collaborate on conceptual and detailed design efforts spanning:

Demand & Supply Planning
-
MRP / MRP Areas / Production Planning
-
Production Execution & Material Staging
-
Plant Maintenance including preventive and corrective maintenance
-
Inventory Management & Warehouse Integration
-
Batch/Serial Management/Item Unique Identification (IUID)
-
Quality Management & Inspection Integration
-
Global Trade & Compliance
-
Aftermarket service execution, warranty and planning
-
EH&S incident and safety processes
Drive Cross-Functional Integration (in strong partnership with Workstream Leads)

Govern and collaborate on P2S integration with:

MM/S2P, PP/PP-DS, QM, SD/O2C, R2R/Finance
-
PLM (Teamcenter/PLM-SI): EBOM→MBOM alignment
-
MES platforms such as Solumina and other MES systems
-
External Planning Tools such as Kinaxis
-
Global Trade Systems (GTS/export control)
-
EH&S and sustainability applications
-
Ensure alignment across interconnected process areas to deliver a consistent, enterprise-wide OneRTX template.
Support Manufacturing & Sustainment Transformation Activities
-
Collaborate on fit/gap discussions for advanced A&D requirements including:
-
Controlled technical data (CTD)
-
ITAR workflows
-
Serialization and traceability
-
Configuration management
-
Shop floor compliance and regulatory constraints
-
Provide functional and technical guidance to DT Leads as they drive detailed design and execution.
-
Identify P2S pathfinders and opportunities that reduce program risk and enable scalable deployment.
Data Migration, Cutover & Deployment Support (Collaborative Role)
-
Partner with the Data Migration Team to align design decisions with required objects (BOMs, routings, production versions, batches/serials, quality info records, inspection plans, etc.)
-
Collaborate closely with the Deployment and Workstream Leads on plant readiness, cutover sequencing, mock conversions, and hypercare preparation.
-
Ensure the P2S solution is deployment-ready across Divisions and international regions.
Partner with Technical Teams & Protect the Clean Core
-
Ensure all P2S extensions and enhancements follow clean-core principles with minimal custom code.
-
Collaborate with SAP BTP and Integration teams to define standard integration patterns, eventing, monitoring, and error-handling.
-
Provide advanced troubleshooting support for complex planning, production, quality, or integration issues.
What you must have:
-
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
-
10+ years of SAP experience with deep expertise across P2S/PP/MM/QM/manufacturing processes.
-
3+ full lifecycle SAP implementations, preferably at least one S/4HANA greenfield program.

U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. Citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Strong hands-on experience with:

BOMs, routings, production versions, work centers

MRP / Demand & Supply Planning including PP/DS

Available to Promise including aATP
-
Production Execution (GI/GR, backflush, confirmations, order splits, as built)

Quality Management (inspection plans, results, usage decisions)

Batch/Serial Management
-
Inventory Management (IM; EWM preferred)
-
Logistics & material movement flows
-
A&D manufacturing environments
-
Solid understanding of S/4HANA deltas, Fiori, analytics, CDS reporting, and clean-core extensibility principles.

Experience in large, complex, regulated environments (A&D, ITAR, export control).
Qualifications We Prefer:

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
