You will create and execute a strategic plan to improve quality throughout SM-3 internal production facilities.

You will drive continuous improvement to resolve nonconformance issues, reducing their impact in the factories
-
Interfacing with external and internal customers and key stakeholders to communicate strategy and provide updates after realized improvements.

You will support the supplier focused teams in implementing improvements in our supply base.
-
You will drive Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) Methodology throughout SM-3 production facilities and Suppliers.
-
You will assess technical risk of non-conformances utilizing critical thinking and analytical skills.
-
You will conduct process and product surveillance of all program activities, including system development through the whole life cycle, system maintenance, operations, and sustainment activities.

You will review change requests to assess technical impact.
-
You will support and provide oversight for failure investigations.
-
You will plan and coordinate technical assessments and corrective actions.

You will organize cross-functional teams to plan for improvement events throughout the SM-3 production facilities and Suppliers

You may be required to travel up to 10% of the time
Qualification You Must Have:
-
Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of eight (8) years of engineering experience in the following areas;
-
8 years or more working experience in the defense and aerospace industry.
-
Experience implementing strategic plans spanning more than 12 months.
-
Experience leading teams in a matrix environment.
-
Experience on a Material Review Board (MRB), Configuration Control Board (CCB), and/or Failure Review Board (FRB).
-
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
