What does a Quality Inspector do at Fiserv?
As a Quality Inspector, you will perform in-line inspections and basic machining/assembly tasks to confirm parts meet engineering requirements and support production throughput. You will conduct quality checks to verify that the inserted materials are accurate and separate any damaged mail.
What you will do:
- Perform a variety of inspection tasks—visual, dimensional, technical, in-process, and final—to ensure product quality and compliance with specifications.
- Identify defects, sort rework/scrap, and complete nonconformance reports.
- Accurately process work transactions using PC-based systems; strong computer proficiency required.
- Escalate non-conforming items and support corrective actions to maintain quality standards.
- Conduct minor maintenance and support major maintenance projects as assigned.
- Operate material handling equipment and use inspection tools, including precision instruments.
What you will need to have:
- High School Diploma or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience.
- Minimum one year of experience in a quality-related role, ideally in a fast-paced production environment.
- Experience using a computer for data entry.
- Ability to perform basic math to support various job responsibilities.
Important info about this role:
- You will work an assigned schedule of: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday-Friday
- Flexibility in schedule to work required overtime that includes weekends and holidays.
