We are seeking a Financial Data Analyst with a background in financial and data analytics to join the Intelligence Sector Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in automating financial reporting processes, making financial data accessible and easy to interpret for individuals with both financial and non-financial backgrounds.
The Financial Data Analyst will partner with business and operational leaders to provide an impact by leveraging data and analytical tools, strategic thinking, and visualization in dashboards. Further, they will support leadership by creating business insights, reports, and analyses to aid in the decision-making process.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Identifies insights from data and metadata sources, interpreting and communicating to management.
- Translates business needs into analytics/reporting requirements to support executive decisions and workflows with required information
- Performs large-scale experimentation and builds data-driven models to answer business questions
- Performs large-scale experimentation to identify hidden relationships between variables in large datasets
- Designs and conducts data analyses, including study design, methodology, algorithms, and statistical modeling.
- Automates financial reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy in delivering financial insights.
- Develops and maintains financial dashboards and visualizations to present key metrics and trends
- Assists with FP&A functions to include analysis of AOP, forecast, rates, facility cost etc.
- Collaborates with finance teams to ensure data integrity and alignment with organizational goals.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience in financial data analysis, including conducting financial analysis and building financial models, financial planning, or accounting.
- Experience working on projects related to IT or Data Analytics.
- Proficiency in SQL programming language and Power BI.
- Experience/familiarity with statistical modeling and algorithm development.
- Experience working with data manipulation, analytic/business insight tools, and data visualization experience.
- Proven experience in financial analytics and data analysis.
- Proficiency in automating financial reporting processes.
- Ability to interpret complex data and present findings in a clear, concise manner for diverse audiences.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- US citizenship is required and able to obtain security clearance as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using Oracle Hyperion, Oracle Analytics Cloud and Deltek Costpoint
- Understanding of financial principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python
- Understanding of Income, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statements

Pay Range:
Pay Range $59,150.00 - $106,925.00
