THE WORKThe Associate Manager, Facilities Operations & Maintenance leads the facilities maintenance team and owns the full scope maintenance program, ensuring work meets Lockheed Martin engineering platforms, client expectations, and corporate policies (Code of Conduct, Policies & Procedures Manual).
You will hire, train and develop engineers, apprentices and other staff, conduct performance reviews, coaching and disciplinary actions, and provide safety and technical orientation. You will also mentor Maintenance Supervisors and support career growth across the team.
The role designs, implements and continuously improves a preventive & predictive maintenance (PPM) program that follows manufacturer recommendations, industry best practices and a defined schedule (annual to monthly). You will conduct regular inspections of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire life safety, production equipment and forklifts, troubleshoot issues promptly, and stay current on emerging HVAC and control system technologies.
You will lead rehabilitation projects—such as HVAC replacements, roof installations and plumbing upgrades—by preparing feasibility studies, budgets, schedules and contract documents, managing the bidding process, monitoring construction compliance, and executing final inspections, punch list tracking and corrective action follow up.
Financial responsibilities include managing operational accounts, variance reporting and assisting with operating and capital budget development, as well as supporting the Facility Manager on cost control and feasibility analyses. You will coordinate the annual Lockheed Martin Safety Program to achieve 100 % site compliance, administer inventory control, procure parts, and ensure adherence to codes, regulations and company directives while responding to emergencies and customer concerns.
Additional duties involve maintaining an Operations Document Library (as built drawings, MEP schedules, equipment manuals, warranties, start up/commissioning records), developing specifications and overseeing maintenance/repair service contracts, and coordinating work with external contractors, tenant finish personnel and engineers. Regular status reports will be provided to site leadership, clients, facilities management and vendors.
Overall, you have direct charge of all maintenance operations—including preventive maintenance implementation, inventory control and life safety system testing—while guaranteeing safe, economical plant operation and accountability for all personnel under your direction.

Basic Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED equivalent (minimum)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial property facilities operations, installation, and maintenance of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, controls). • Minimum 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Must be able to obtain a US DOD Secret Security Clearance.
Ability to stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs/ladders, and lift/carry ≥ 50 lb. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for disabilities.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,400 - $150,650. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
