Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Production Engineering Powertrain Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Lead Seibi Technician.
The primary responsibilities of this position will be to execute North American machine set up, increase Operation Availability (OA) through continuous improvement and lead problem-solving activities for technical issues.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager at the TMMWV Satellite Office, the person in this role will support the Powertrain department's objective to execute Capital Projects from planning thru Start of Production (SOP)

What you’ll be doing
Participating in project planning for Seibi with PE
Make detailed Seibi master schedules that align to PE master schedules for project work
Lead regular Seibi communication meetings
Develop & manage denwachos for commissioning processes
Provide written and verbal project status reports to management and other groups
Recognize Seibi member struggles and suggest/implement C/M’s
Lead effective communication with Mgr. and Seibi members that require resolutions
Improve skill by coaching, conducting OJT and arranging for off-site training
Evaluate Seibi task for safety using JSA’s and denwacho for activity.
Perform “hands-on” Seibi tasks alongside T/M’s as needed to complete work objectives
Support and facilitate troubleshooting as needed
This position involves extensive movement throughout the manufacturing facility
What you bring
High School diploma or equivalent
Technical associate’s degree or higher or equivalent training such as vocational certificate or similar
At least 3+ years of experience with Powertrain manufacturing such as spindle machines, leak testers, robots or similar
Intermediate to advance proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
At least 3+ years of PLC programming experience including the ability to read, interpret and modify
At least 3+ years of experience with input/output for machine-to-machine communication
Willingness to work required overtime and travel as needed both domestic and international
Added bonus if you have
Associates degree or higher
Machine Safety Fundamental Course completion
3 years preferred experience as a Powertrain Seibi
Working experience with Microsoft Power BI (including data importation, report creation and troubleshooting)
Experience gathering and analyzing quality data from precision measurement devices such as CMM, Adcole, etc.
Experience presenting and reporting out to all levels of the company, including Sr. Mgt, Plant President, Group Leaders, Team Members and Vendors
Experience with Production Processes including Standardized Work and Job Instruction Sheets
