About your role:
You will perform both manual and automated software testing, improve automation frameworks, and validate Websites (UI), Mobile applications, Batch applications and APIs. You will use programming languages and test tooling to debug, troubleshoot, identify root causes, and prepare test data to ensure reliable service delivery.
What you’ll do
- Work alongside business analysts and quality analysts to understand business requirements
- Create and execute test plans and test cases based on requirements and design specifications
- Test UI and APIs (manual and automated), including debugging and troubleshooting to identify root cause
- Address technical, security, delivery, and performance risks and prepare and manage test data for services
- Identify and implement continuous improvements to the test development practice
- Understand the existing processing architecture and apply that knowledge to testing strategies
- Improve and design automation frameworks to meet modern standards
- Utilize test management tools such as Zephyr, ALM, or X‑Ray
Experience you’ll need to have
- 6+ years of experience in a QA / SDET capacity
- 5+ years of practical experience with end-to-end testing
- 4+ years of experience with Postman and SoapUI for testing and automating APIs
- 4+ years’ experience with Automation tools like JMeter, Selenium or RPT
- 4+ years’ experience with Mobile app testing via automation tools like Appium
- 2+ years’ experience with finance technology domain products testing
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, military, and work experience
Experience that would be great to have
- 6+ months of experience working on Fiserv platforms
- Practical experience with DevOps CI/CD pipelining
- Pipeline experience: Azure, AWS, Jenkins, Maven, GitLab
- Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and/or Behavior-Driven Development (BDD)
- Mainframe experience (navigating and understanding green screen, lookup fields) and knowledge of mainframe VSAM lookup and JCL jobs
How you’ll work
- This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experience helps you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
Travel
- Approximately 10% travel off-site or to other office locations is expected.
