Job Summary:
The Americas ISC IT Leader – IT/OT Applications & Platform Partner is a strategic leadership role within the Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) for the Americas region. This leader is responsible for overseeing all IT initiatives, application lifecycle management, and alignment of technology solutions with supply chain objectives. The role provides robust support for SCADA platforms—including provisioning, configuration, licensing, and 24×7 reliability—enabling AME/AMT teams, who retain ownership of solution development and user experience. The leader partners with the Data & Analytics team to ensure ISC operational data is consolidated and accessible, supporting advanced analytics and future digital initiatives, but does not directly own analytics delivery. Additional responsibilities include financial planning, compliance, business process optimization, partnering with site IT and plant leadership, and integrating and standardizing reference data models and integration patterns, always in close collaboration with relevant business and technical teams.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Talent Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a diverse, high-performing team of IT/OT professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Identify skill gaps and drive reskilling from legacy application support to modern IT/OT platform and data skills.
- Build and govern an offshore (ITC) capability to scale templates, integrations, platform operations, and enablement content.
- Promote continuous learning and professional growth through mentoring, training, and exposure to new technologies.
Strategic Partnership & Operating Model
- Serve as the primary IT/OT interface, partnering with AME/AMT and site teams to enable secure, reliable, and standardized digital solutions across the region.
- Maintain strong partnerships with site IT and plant leadership, providing support and thought leadership.
- Own the business partnership with AME/AMT (roadmap cadence, intake, prioritization, escalations, communications).
- Act as the link to enterprise IT and Architecture for plant applications and OT space.
Application & Platform Stewardship
- Oversee the lifecycle management, modernization, and support of MES and all regionally owned ISC applications (over 250), ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, business needs, and compliance requirements.
- Lead the retirement of legacy applications and the transition to modern platforms, ensuring business continuity and effective reskilling of teams.
- Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines, release governance, and enablement practices for MES and ISC applications.
- Implement GitHub at scale (org/repo model, branching, protected branches, CODEOWNERS, mandatory PR reviews, automated checks) and enable AI-assisted coding with appropriate guardrails.
- Maintain legacy application support where upgrades are not yet feasible; provide frameworks and playbooks for technical debt and sunset plans.
Integration, Data, and Analytics Readiness
- Partner with the Data & Analytics team to ensure ISC operational data is consolidated and accessible, supporting advanced analytics and future digital initiatives; own the strategy and execution for integration, standardization, and publishing of reference data models and integration patterns, but do not directly deliver analytics solutions.
- Standardize edge/IIoT gateways and historians feeding the enterprise data platforms.
Service Management, Reliability, and Incident Response
- Extend ServiceNow processes to OT and ISC applications: incidents, problem KBs, runbooks, and change requests.
- Develop and operate a tiered 24×7 support model with clear SLAs; implement observability for MES, ISC applications, and edge systems.
- Lead post-incident reviews and drive corrective actions into the platform backlog.
Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM)
- Execute technology lifecycle management for MES and all regionally owned ISC applications, including patch cycles, upgrade trains, DR drills, EOL/EOS management, and vendor roadmap alignment.
- Maintain a compatibility matrix and lifecycle compliance dashboard for MES and ISC applications.
Financials, Compliance, and Outcomes
- Manage budgeting, financial planning, and cost control for platform and program investments.
- Ensure all IT/OT applications and processes comply with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
- Co-own scorecards with AME/AMT; tie investments to outcomes such as unplanned downtime, OEE, deployment speed, and support cost.
Industry Trends & Best Practices
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in manufacturing IT/OT, MES, and digital transformation.
- Evaluate and introduce innovative tools, methodologies, and frameworks that drive operational excellence and competitive advantage.
- Benchmark against industry leaders and ensure the team’s skills and solutions remain current and relevant.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven leadership experience delivering applications and platform programs in manufacturing or supply chain environments.
- Demonstrated success partnering with manufacturing engineering (AME/AMT or equivalent) and plant leadership.
- Hands-on experience with MES (e.g., Apriso), SCADA platforms (e.g., Ignition), and enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience supporting or enabling custom application development and lifecycle management at scale.
- Strong industry knowledge and expertise in manufacturing, supply chain, and operational technology environments.
- Familiarity with OT/IT convergence concepts and supporting digital solutions in operational environments.
- Experience implementing modern DevOps practices (e.g., CI/CD, Git-based workflows, automated quality gates) at scale.
- Strong understanding of IT/OT security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience building and governing offshore (ITC) delivery with strong QA, documentation, and security practices.
- Solid financial acumen, including budgeting, business case development, and outcome-oriented mindset (OEE, downtime, deployment speed, support cost).
- Excellent communication, influence, and collaboration skills—able to guide standards while accelerating execution.
- Track record of fostering continuous learning, talent development, and building high-performing teams.
- Ability to stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in manufacturing IT/OT and digital transformation.
