The Caterpillar Oil & Gas and Marine Division currently has an opening for a Fleet Maintenance Planner located in Houston, Texas. As a Fleet Maintenance Planner you will develop a comprehensive maintenance and repair plan meeting specific contractual commitments related to equipment maintenance, sustainability, and financial performance. The position develops and implements fleet wide maintenance schedules to include preventative maintenance for cutting edge Oil & Gas technologies. The position also has report out responsibilities to both the key account and internal stakeholders on contract performance and key performance indicators.
This role will have a strong focus on Marine operations supporting service contracts through maintenance, repair, and overhaul activities for Caterpillar marine customer assets.
What You Will Do:
Develop Fleet Wide Scheduled Planned Maintenance Program
Coordinate with Key Account Schedules for Maintenance and Overhaul Programs/Activities on an as needed basis
Develop and Generating Standard Overhaul Parts Consist
Develop and Generate Time Requirement Guide (TRG) for Planned / Overhaul Program
Coordinate Parts Requirements with E&T Purchasing, LPSD, and Cat Dealers
Prepare standard written reports of recommendations for customers and their Caterpillar dealers on a weekly basis
Build collaborative relationships & acts as a consultant with equipment management personnel
Provide feedback to the analytics development team where improvements/enhancements are needed
Provide feedback from dealers & customers to development and implementation team for product enhancements
Support Marine maintenance planning, reporting, and asset management.
Degree Requirement
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business, project management, supply chain management, engineering or other like degrees is preferred
What You Have – Skills, Knowledge, & Experiences:
Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
Conflict Management: Knowledge of managing conflicts; ability to anticipate, recognize, and deal effectively with existing or potential conflicts at the individual, group, or situation level.
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
Preventive Maintenance: Knowledge of equipment and its functioning; ability to conduct Preventive Maintenance at scheduled intervals to determine equipment's corrective actions and avoid untimely breakdowns.
Operation and Maintenance: Knowledge of operation principles, methods and processes; ability to handle day-to-day and strategic issues and operational requirements.

Summary Pay Range:
$87,480.00 - $131,280.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
