Overview
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for coordinating the movement of incoming and outgoing materials, supplies, and equipment to support facility operations. This role requires prior experience in warehouse or logistics environments, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The clerk ensures accurate documentation, safe material handling, and timely processing of shipments while maintaining compliance with company and safety standards.
PAY - $25.46 an hour or The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Key Responsibilities
Receiving
· Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against bills of lading, packing slips, or purchase orders.
· Inspect materials for accuracy, damage, or quality issues and report discrepancies promptly.
· Document received items and ensure accurate entry into logs, spreadsheets, or inventory systems.
· Properly label, store, and stage materials according to established procedures.
Shipping
· Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring correct labeling, documentation, and carrier scheduling.
· Generate or complete shipping documents such as manifests, labels, and transfer forms.
· Coordinate pickups with carriers, couriers, or internal departments to meet deadlines.
· Ensure all items are packed securely and meet regulatory or client requirements.
Inventory & Documentation
· Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliation, and proper recordkeeping.
· Monitor stock levels and notify management of low or critical inventory issues.
· Update and maintain organized documentation for all shipping and receiving activities.
· Assist with inventory audits and asset tracking.
Material Handling & Equipment Operation
· Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment (forklift certification required).
· Load and unload trucks, pallets, and large shipments while following proper weight distribution and safety protocols.
· Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform basic inspections before use.
General Warehouse & Facility Support
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
· Assist with logistics planning, internal deliveries, or material staging for projects or maintenance activities.
· Collaborate with purchasing, maintenance teams, and facility management to support operational needs.

Qualifications
· 2–4 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehousing, or logistics.
· Valid forklift certification (required).
· Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical material-handling tasks.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
· Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
· Basic computer proficiency (email, spreadsheets, data entry).
· Strong communication skills for working with vendors, carriers, and internal teams.
