Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Review and interpret medication orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness for patients.
- Provide clinical pharmacy services, including medication therapy management and patient counseling.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize medication regimens.
- Manage inventory levels of medications and supplies, ensuring proper storage and handling.
- Prepare and compound medications as needed, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Educate patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions.
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, patient profiles, and medication administration.
- Stay current with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and advancements in pharmacotherapy.
Skills
- Proficient in systems related to pharmacy operations and patient management.
- Strong background in clinical pharmacy practices with an emphasis on patient service.
- Experience working in a hospital environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols and safety standards.
- Understanding of medical terminology relevant to pharmaceutical care.
- Ability to supervise pharmacy technicians effectively when necessary.
- Competency in compounding medications according to established guidelines.
