Description:You will be the HWIL FPGA Engineer for the RF Sensors Product Center Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop team. Our team is responsible for delivering cutting‑edge HWIL capabilities for RF sensor systems.
What You Will Be Doing
As the HWIL FPGA Engineer you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing radio‑frequency (RF) signal modulation capabilities in FPGAs.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Define FPGA architecture to meet RF signal modulation requirements.
- Develop VHDL firmware for high‑performance RF signal generation and processing.
- Create and integrate interfaces between the FPGA and ancillary HWIL hardware.
- Conduct integration, test, verification, and validation of multiple subsystems.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional engineers to ensure compliance with system specifications.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• HDL programming experience with VHDL, Verilog, and/or System Verilog.
• Experience on Hardware-Software Integration and Validation.
• Familiarity with FPGA toolsets (Vivado, Libero, and/or Quartus strongly preferred).
• Experience with electronics design and troubleshooting activities.
• Experience with C/C++ programming.
• Experience Integrating HW and SW.
• Active Secret Clearance with most recent investigation in the last 5 years.
Desired Skills:• Master's Degree from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Experience with management of Configuration Control
• Experience with Vivado FPGA toolset
• Experience with troubleshooting and debugging skills with board-level testing and FPGA validation.
• Experience in ASIC / FPGA life cycle (architecture, design, simulation, verification, validation, integration & test)
• Expert programming Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) or Complex Programmable Logic Devices (CPLD).
• Comfortable using digital oscilloscopes, power meters, and other test equipment
• Experience working with HWIL systems

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
