The Software and Cyber Security (SCE) Engineering Section Manager (SM) will report to the Director SCE. This position may be located in either Orlando, FL or Grand Prairie, TX. The SM will be responsible for the planning, implementation and oversight of the engineering goals and objectives for the SCE directorate.
Duties include:
(1) management, technical and process support to the program Engineering and Technology Managers (ETM) and SCE staff;
(2) LOB staffing support and coordination with the FL’s to ensure the manpower forecast reflects the latest program requirements;
(3) participation in proposal submissions, program level reviews, and technical reviews;
(4) support to the SCE process improvement goals and objectives, along with the review and analysis of metrics data;
(5) establishment and update of technical standards as required, ensuring technical competencies are maintained;
(6) support to Human Resource initiatives including Performance Management, Merit, and Promotion Planning;
(7) recruitment, hiring, retaining, training and career development of SCE personnel.
Candidates applying to this position should have a Bachelor’s degree, or greater, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or an equivalent field with significant software development experience.
It is possible that travel will be required to both customer and supplier sites. It is possible that travel will be both within and outside the Continental United States (CONUS). Must be a US citizen with an active Secret clearance. In addition to security clearance requirements, candidate may need to be approved to work Special Access Program (SAP) prior to start of employment.
Basic Qualifications:
▪ Must have an active Secret clearance.
▪ Experience estimating software development tasks and planning manpower.
▪ Experience leading the development of embedded software products.
▪ Experience with performance management.
▪ Full Lifecycle development experience.
▪ In-depth knowledge of software development processes, methodologies, and techniques.
Desired Skills:
▪ Process Improvement and Affordability experience
▪ Software engineering management or Software engineering team lead experience including task planning, budget management, subcontract management and/or employee development and mentoring
▪ Excellent communication skills

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
