Role OverviewAs a Senior Technician Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of our assembly and testing operations, working with complex missile subsystems. This is a hands-on role that combines technical expertise, precision craftsmanship, and problem-solving, allowing you to collaborate closely with engineers and other team members to bring sophisticated systems to life.
Key Duties & Responsibilities• Fabricate, assemble, and test intricate assemblies/subsystems integrated into missile systems.
• Inventory and inspect parts for compliance with technical documentation, including work instructions, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Verify dimensions and clearances using precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Align, fit, and assemble parts using hand tools and specialized fixtures.
• Set up and operate test equipment to evaluate the performance of parts, assemblies, or systems under simulated operational conditions; document results accurately.
• Support all phases of missile assembly, subsystem testing, environmental testing, and pack-and-ship operations.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to identify, define, and solve technical problems.
• Contribute to a team-focused environment while implementing Continuous Process Improvement practices.
• Provide and receive work direction effectively within the team.

Basic Qualifications:Candidates must meet all requirements:• Hands-on experience in assembly, integration, or test operations.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting work instructions, schematics, engineering drawings, wiring lists, and other technical documentation.
• Ability to work onsite in Courtland, Alabama on day or night shifts.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Desired Skills:“Nice-to-have” skills that strengthen candidacy:• Experience with adhesives and bonding materials.
• Skilled in cable harness fabrication and repair.
• Proficient in soldering techniques.
• Experienced in crane operations, lifting, and material handling.
• Familiarity with spacecraft ground processing lifecycle and mission launch preparations.
• Proficient with general test equipment operations and environmental testing.
• Skilled in using standard hand tools and precision measurement equipment (multi-meters, torque wrenches, scales).
• Knowledgeable in ordnance handling.
• Graduate of AIDT (Alabama Industrial Development Training) preferred.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
