The focus of the maintenance team is to keep equipment in the RDC fully operational. The RDC Maintenance Clerk is an entry-level position supporting the Maintenance department, responsible for daily data entry into maintenance asset management software (7i). The Clerk is also responsible for in-service tool tracking, maintaining the organized parts inventory and performing parts runs to ensure the mechanics have all tools and parts needed for assigned tasks. The Maintenance Clerk will also work on other tasks and/or projects by supervisor as needed. To succeed, the Maintenance Clerk must be willing to learn computer software and purchasing processes specific to the department. In addition, the Maintenance Clerk will be highly organized and communicate clearly with peers,
other departments, and supervisors as well as outside vendors.

Key Responsibilities
Must be willing to work in a distribution/warehouse environment with the physical and environmental aspects typically associated with such environment (using stairs, ladders).
Minimum Qualifications
Team members may work evening, overnight, and weekend shifts, with voluntary and scheduled overtime as needed (additional pay for overtime).
Physical fitness to move continuously throughout the facility, lift up to 70 pounds, and operate power equipment.
Adherence to safety protocols, wearing necessary personal protective equipment.
Ability to work in varying conditions, from extreme temperatures to noisy environments.
Strong safety orientation and ability to work independently or within a team.
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Basic math and reading comprehension skills
Basic computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and capability to learn new software system(s)
Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to obtain Lowe's driver approval for company vehicles
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Previous experience in distribution center operations or warehouse settings.
Proficiency in operating power equipment (e.g., forklift, reach truck).
Detail-oriented with experience in a fast-paced environment.
Basic math, reading comprehension, and computer skills.
Technical school graduate or prior technical education not resulting in a degree
Prior mechanical experience/mechanical knowledge
Experience using troubleshooting processes to resolve problems
Experience with software applications such as Excel, Access, INFOR EAM or other computerized maintenance management software or other inventory control software.
Experience managing multiple projects/tasks simultaneously requiring a strong ability to prioritize and manage time
Schedule Requirements
Available to work a set schedule that may be changed by management based on the facility's needs.
May be asked to work mornings, afternoons, nights, and/or weekends based on the facility's needs.
Working Conditions
Environmental factors vary by location. You may be working in both inside and outside weather conditions. Exposure to varying climates, including extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions, is possible. You may be exposed to constant or intermittent noises in addition to moving or shaking objects and equipment.
Lifting methods vary based on role, weight, and volume. Associates must follow guidelines, limiting single lifts to 70 pounds. Team lifts are used minimally starting at 70 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment should be used as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
