About your role:
As an Enterprise Resiliency and High Availability Architect, you will architect and implement high availability solutions for critical FIG platforms to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted service as well as develop and optimize active-active and active-passive failover strategies for rapid recovery and minimal disruption.
You will integrate resiliency patterns (load balancing, clustering, geo-redundancy) into application and infrastructure designs and define & enforce Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective (RPO) targets, leveraging automated dashboards for compliance.
You will eliminate single points of failure across systems, networks, and data pipelines through proactive design and collaborate with product engineering teams to implement real-time monitoring and alerting for HA components.
You will lead multi-region failover drills and resiliency simulations to validate readiness for large-scale disruptions and leverage predictive analytics and AI-driven insights to identify resiliency gaps and recommend proactive measures.
You will ensure regulatory and client SLA compliance for HA and DR strategies as well as maintain and continuously improve disaster recovery plans, documentation, and control mechanisms.
You will provide leadership during crisis events, activating recovery procedures and coordinating cross-functional response.
What you will do:
- Train teams on resiliency and DR protocols to ensure organizational readiness.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, integrating best practices and emerging technologies into resiliency strategies.
- Have hands-on experience with HA technologies such as clustering, replication, load balancers, and distributed systems.
- Possess knowledge of cloud-native resiliency patterns (e.g., AWS/Azure multi-region deployments, Kubernetes HA configurations).
- Own data replication and synchronization strategies for mission-critical financial systems.
- Support HA and DR objectives with expertise in performance tuning and capacity planning
- Use experience with automation frameworks (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) for HA and DR deployments.
- Lead with familiarity observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) for resiliency monitoring.
Experience you will need to have:
- 6+ years of experience architecting, designing, and operating highly resilient, distributed systems in hybrid environments (on-prem + cloud).
- 2+ years of experience leveraging data analytics for resiliency insights and decision-making.
- 2+ years of experience creating executive-level reporting on recovery metrics and progress.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field (or foreign equivalent degree) or equivalent work experience.
Experience that would be great to have:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional – Ability to design highly available, fault-tolerant architectures in AWS.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert – Proficiency in building resilient, multi-region solutions in Azure.
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) – Skills in deploying and managing HA containerized environments.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to disaster recovery
- Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) – Expertise in continuity and disaster recovery planning.
