Job Summary
Join Caterpillar’s Off-Highway Truck product team and help shape the future of heavy equipment design. As a Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing innovative solutions that enhance performance, durability, and sustainability for our global customers. What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities)
- Design and develop components and systems for Off-Highway Trucks, ensuring compliance with performance, safety, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and product support teams to optimize designs for cost, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Utilize advanced CAD tools and engineering analysis to create innovative solutions for heavy equipment applications.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct design reviews, validate prototypes, and resolve technical issues throughout the product lifecycle.
- Ensure adherence to Caterpillar’s engineering processes and regulatory requirements.
What You Have (Required Skills)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- Experience in product design or engineering within heavy equipment or automotive industries.
- Proficiency in CAD software (Creo, CATIA, Teamcenter, or similar).
- Strong understanding of structural design, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Off-Highway Truck systems and/or engine installation systems.
- Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and other simulation tools.
- Familiarity with Caterpillar’s engineering standards and NPI processes.
- Ability to support multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Summary Pay Range:
$95,640.00 - $143,520.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
