Job Summary:
Join the Analytics Team at Caterpillar as a strategic and analytical professional focused on leveraging data to enable personalization in marketing automation systems and tailored content for customers and dealers. This role bridges marketing and technical teams, supporting the creation and launch of marketing campaigns and personalization projects, and driving the usage of analytics across digital products and customer lifecycle touchpoints.
What You Will Do
- Consult with marketing teams and Cat Digital to define requirements for marketing journeys and enhance leads with analytics.
- Strategically analyze the end-to-end customer journey, identifying high-impact personalization use cases and opportunities.
- Act as the primary analytical liaison between Marketing and Data Science, translating strategic initiatives into actionable data requirements.
- Work with architecture teams to ensure data ingestion into digital platforms.
- Advise marketing agencies and internal content teams on data-driven messaging within customer journeys.
- Align with business partners on the vision and execution of data-driven personalization efforts.
- Lead medium-complexity projects related to marketing technology and data adoption.
- Create, analyze, and validate business requirements, translating them into functional requirements and user stories, and defining acceptance criteria and test cases.

- Effective Communications: Strong communication skills to work across divisions and effectively transmit, receive, and interpret ideas and requirements.
- Relationship Management: Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
- Technical Excellence: Demonstrated expertise in data analysis, data storytelling, and defining data requirements for technical teams (Data Science/Engineering).
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and define use cases across the customer lifecycle, applying organizational acumen to focus on key success factors.
- Digital Marketing: Solid understanding of marketing automation platforms, CRM, content management systems, ecommerce, and lead management.
Considerations For Top Candidates
- 8+ years of experience in analytical roles focused on marketing, leads, CX, or personalization strategy.
- Self-starter with proactive approach and project management skills.
- Exceptional writing, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to apply user insights, research, and analytics to inform strategies and measure results.
- Experience in B2B messaging development and successful product launches; creative agency experience is a plus.
- Experience collaborating with marketing and data teams to design and optimize email campaign strategies.
- Familiarity with AI and its opportunities in marketing.
- Understanding of Construction Industries, Prime and Aftermarket.
- Design knowledge (Adobe, PowerPoint) and familiarity with design thinking or customer journey mapping methodologies.
- Data Scientist background and ecommerce experience are nice-to-have.
Summary Pay Range:
$106,194.25 - $165,840.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
