This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, at Spirit’s Defense Business Unit (“Spirit Defense”). Spirit Defense is an independent supplier to the defense and space marketplace. Through innovative engineering and rapid prototyping excellence, Spirit Defense provides the capabilities, technologies and support customers need to succeed in their missions.
Key Accountabilities
- Performs responsibilities requiring the integration of disciplines from more than one supplier management and procurement job family and applies independent, specialized technical expertise to support a wide range of business objectives
- Activities include, but are not limited to, the development, integration, implementation, and execution of multidisciplinary business processes
- Works cross-functionally with internal and external customers and suppliers and all employee levels to carry out responsibilities
- Applies process management and improvement techniques
- Uses problem-solving skills and analytical abilities to develop innovative and expedient solutions to problems
- Facilitates work teams, provides training, and interfaces with internal organizations and external customers with regard to project planning, problem resolution, and process improvement
- The role demands a focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative team environment. Candidates must also display strong judgment, leadership, and integrity
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and departments in a diverse environment.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in as a Supply Chain Professional and/or Management experience in a production environment
- Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Experience working with multiple cross functional groups
- Strong project management and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience presenting to and interacting with all levels of the organization
- Ability to effect change
- Knowledge of MRP systems, SAP preferred
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain or other relevant course of study
- MBA or Master’s Degree
- Knowledge/experience with manufacturing and manufacturing processes
- APICS, CPIM, CSCP or other industry certification
- Governance and Compliance background including experience with AS9100 or other external audits.
- Experience in Aerospace
Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range: $97,800 - $149,950
