Boeing Canada Winnipeg is looking for an Industrial Athletic Therapist to join the team in Winnipeg, Canada. This is a term position for 12 months with the possibility of extension. This position involves working various shifts including early mornings, and evenings (predominately evening shift).
This position will work closely with the existing program lead at the site and report to the Environment Health and Safety Manager. The Industrial Athletic Therapist works with employees to prepare them for physical work tasks and provides coaching on maintaining overall health.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide education on proper and improper work methods and body mechanics relative to performing physical work tasks
- Instruct structured Job Conditioning classes designed to prepare employees for their everyday physical demands
- Interact daily with production teams to create relationships, understand the work, and identify opportunities for coaching on body mechanics
- Perform OSHA-guided first aid evaluation and treatment for employees experiencing discomfort
- Collaborate effectively with key stakeholders to refer employees to related services needed
- Engage leaders in program performance to plan and success metrics
- Continuously improve program processes to meet evolving science, best practice, and manufacturing needs
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 3+ years of experience working as an Athletic Therapist
- Must have a current Canadian Certified Athletic Therapist designation CAT(C) or U.S. Athletic Trainer certification (AT-C)
- Must be legally able to work in Canada
- Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
- Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) first aid treatment
• Experience presenting health education topics to production groups
• Experience instructing exercise classes with up to 10 participants
• Experience with presenting program performance data to an executive level audience

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
