As our part of the Mechanical Ground Support Equipment (MGSE) project management team, the candidate will be the lead project Engineer for MGSE sustainment projects. This will include leading, budgeting, and oversight of the cost/schedule/technical performance for MGSE sustainment portfolio.
Summary of Key Duties: In this role, you will…
• Manage the monthly status roll up and Estimate To Complete (ETC) updates of all the active MGSE Sustainment projects, typically around 50 projects.
• Lead the creation, review and completion of annual support equipment proposals
• Conduct twice monthly Project reviews with Navy customer
• Own project performance metrics, including Current Execution Index (CEI) and ETC vs Actuals
• Perform Cost Account Manager responsibilities and mentor early career project engineers.
• Work with partnering organizations (Engineering, Supply Chain, Shipping/Receiving etc.) to ensure all processes are appropriately followed and implemented to ensure smooth product flow throughout the lifecycle
• Identify risks and opportunities to the program Risk & Opportunity Control Board and implement approved mitigation plans
• Provide timely and accurate insight to key program impacts or opportunities to the Senior Manager & the Functional Managers.
• Support Control Account Managers with monthly VARs / DDMs
• Partner with relevant functional managers to ensure proper coordination for timely staffing of Sustainment projects.

Basic Qualifications:Qualified candidate will have or be able to:
- Minimum of a bachelor degree from an accredited college
- Project management experience
- Cost Account Management (CAM) experience
- Earned Value Management (EVM) experience
- Knowledge of program lifecycle and system integration
- Risk and Opportunity Management experience
- Proposal and Basis of Estimation creation experience
- Good oral, written, and presentation communication skills
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a DoD secret security clearance
Desired Skills:- Engineering Degree from an accredited college or MBA
- Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- Fleet Ballistic Missile Program Experience
- Experience working with the US Navy and or Strategic Systems Program Office
- Mechanical Ground Support Equipment Experience
- Demonstrated experience in driving complex issues or problems to successful closure
- Experience with manufacturing and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of LM Space command media
- Active DOD Secret security clearance

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
