This role will require onsite support full-time at Lockheed Martin’s campus in Huntsville, Alabama working a 4/10 Flex schedule.

Overview
The Competitive Intelligence (CI) Analyst will be an integral member of the Integrated Air & Missile Defense (IAMD) Mission Analysis (MA) team, focusing on the competitive landscape of Air Defense, Missile Defense, and Command and Control (C2) of Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) systems.
This role leverages mandatory prior military experience to provide foundational analysis of foreign and domestic competitor technologies, capabilities, and market strategies. The analyst will support senior staff and decision-makers by gathering, synthesizing, and reporting intelligence to inform system development, acquisition, and strategic planning.
What You Will Be Doing• Intelligence Gathering: Conduct initial-level, all-source research and data collection on foreign and domestic competitor air and missile defense systems, technologies, programs, and market activities. Sources will include Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT), classified reporting, and technical publications.
• Analysis and Reporting: Perform structured analysis on collected data to identify competitor capabilities, potential threats, and emerging trends in IAMD systems, and associated C2/Battle Management systems (e.g., THAAD, GMD, Patriot, Aegis, C2BMC, etc.).
• Product Development: Draft and contribute to routine competitive intelligence products, including monthly summaries, and technical reports for internal stakeholders, translating complex technical information into clear, actionable intelligence.
• Database Management: Assist in maintaining and organizing intelligence databases, libraries, and files, ensuring information is current, accurate, and properly documented according to security protocols.
• Briefings: Prepare and deliver simple, concise intelligence briefings to internal project teams and mid-level management.

o Field Artillery (FA), Indirect Fires / Targeting / Fire Direction, Air Defense Artillery (ADA), Air and Missile Defense (AMD), or Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) operations, C2/Battle Management systems, or threat analysis.
o Fire Direction (e.g., 131A Field Artillery Fire Direction Warrant Officer) expertise with modern digital tools, mastery of fire-control software (AFATDS, and FDC 1/2
• Technical Skills: Basic familiarity with IAMD components (e.g., sensors, interceptors, C2 nodes). Proficiency in research tools, structured analytic techniques, and Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Security Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen and meet eligibility requirements for a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.
Desired Skills:• Prior experience working in the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) or related programs (e.g., MSIC, SMDC).
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for presenting competitive analysis findings.
• A foundational understanding of scientific and technical intelligence (S&TI) principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, honed by experience in drafting formal military reports or delivering command-level briefings.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
