Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
You’ll join our embedded software team to build and verify software for safety-critical systems. Working with experienced engineers, you’ll learn our development lifecycle, contribute to deliverables, and grow your skills through hands-on projects, mentorship, and training.
- Translate requirements into design, implementation, and verification for embedded software
- Follow defined standards, procedures, and quality requirements for regulated environments
- Prepare and present technical findings to internal stakeholders
- Document designs, code, tests, and results consistent with engineering policies
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives and team stand-ups
- Share ideas openly and help improve team practices and tools
- Provide timely updates on risks, issues, and progress; support short-term planning to resolve blockers
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Software, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related field; or equivalent practical experience
- Programming experience in at least one of C/C++ or Python; familiarity with version control
- Understanding of embedded systems concepts (e.g., interrupts, memory, real-time constraints) from coursework, projects, or internships
- Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills
- Curiosity and willingness to learn new tools, processes, and domains; dependable at planning and prioritizing tasks
Desired Characteristics
- Experience of the software design lifecycle within aerospace, automotive or similar development environment, this could have been gained through a placement / internship, or from direct work experience
- Exposure to real-time operating systems (RTOS) or safety-critical development
- Knowledge of DO-178C
- Knowledge of model based design
