FBM Reentry Systems Engineering Manager, you will:
• Serve as the Functional Leader for a diverse team of systems engineering supporting the Mk4B program, FBM Reentry Interfaces, the D5LE2 program, and related Advanced Programs
• Operate as leader of leaders, supporting the growth and development of sub-tier leaders to ensure all functional and personal responsibilities are met, in support of successfully execution of the Reentry directorate.
• Be responsible for staff planning and tracking activities, to include program need assessment, hiring, and onboarding activities.
• Collaborate with the Systems Engineering functional leadership within the Reentry directorate, to identify and resolve personnel and technical issues, and execute functional and programmatic initiatives.
• Provide technical, functional, and programmatic support directly to the FBM Reentry Chief Systems Engineer.
• Partner with teams across LM and externally (DOE, Navy SSP/SPF) to enable successfully systems engineering support across associated programs.
The position requires full-time onsite support at our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Denver, Colorado. The work schedule for this position is a 9-80 flex schedule.
The Systems Engineering Manager will be required to provide functional leadership and demonstrate LM Full Spectrum Leadership.
Basic Qualifications:• Working knowledge of Systems Engineering methods and processes
• General Technical or Functional Leadership
• Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following Systems Engineering sub-disciplines:
- Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Requirements development
- Verification processes - Interface management
- Risk and opportunity management
- Critical skills assessment
- Engineering metrics
• Secret clearance with ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
Desired Skills:• Demonstrated interpersonal skills to promote teamwork with internal customers
• Comfortable working in a fast paced and dynamic multi-disciplinary environment
• Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills
• Proficiency with standard documentation and presentation tools (MS Office tools)
• Bachelors or higher degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education with commensurate years of professional experience.
• Prior experience in missile or reentry systems sustainment or development programs
• Demonstrated expertise in systems engineering sub-disciplines to include Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), requirements development, verification processes, interface management, risk and opportunity management, critical skills assessment, engineering metrics
• Experience working autonomously and efficiently across organizational and product interfaces in a collaborative, multi-task environment
• Systems engineering knowledge, with experience support development programs
• Strong interpersonal skills and successful in working in a team environment
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with component, subsystem, and system levels
• Familiarity with the Navy SSP customer
• Knowledge of the FBM program and processes
• Experience interfacing and working collaboratively with the Department of Energy (DOE)
• Experience in creating and delivering compelling presentations, and communicating to both direct functional and program leadership in addition direct reports
• Demonstrated ability to establish close working relationships with key senior leaders and customer executives
• Ability to work to build consensus among peers and effective relationships with team members
• Experience with cost estimating to support proposal basis of estimates

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $128,400 - $226,435. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
