Description:Lockheed Martin is in search of an innovative and talented Electronics Engineer to join the Launch & Test Support Equipment (L&TSE) team in Huntsville, Alabama.

What does this role look like?The L&TSE team develops, test and verifies various ground support equipment for the THAAD Program, ensuring various THAAD subsystems perform its capabilities for launch tests. The primary role of this position is to lead the team supporting the sustainment and periodic refresh of L&TSE ground support equipment being used at various test & production facilities.
Key activities you will accomplish in this role:• Serve as a Certified System Engineer (CPE) for the entire L&TSE HW products
• Establish system architecture and CONOPS, perform system level design and decomposition into requirements
• Ensure interface compatibility for L&TSE products and their interfaces
• Perform system analysis and interface definition and technical management and execution
• Lead studies and system trades for enhanced capabilities
• Lead L&TSE team with risk reduction planning and test execution
• Develop plans to on-ramp new mission capabilities while protecting the primary mission
• Lead and coordinate design reviews and technical product reviews
• Support verification, validation, and test planning
• Lead failure investigations and anomaly resolution boards
• Seek out new opportunities for incorporating best-practices and standards across Global Security, LM Space, and the industry at-large (tools, concepts, methods, etc.)
To be effective in this role, you will need:• 5+ years of professional experience.
• Qualified candidate must hold an active DoD
Final Secret Security Clearance; thus US Citizenship is required.

Let’s do Space!Basic Qualifications:• Demonstrated capability in requirements and verification (including requirement engineering, requirements management and verification)
• Experience with architecture design, development, integration, test, with knowledge of systems engineering principles from the component level through system level
• Knowledge and application of Systems Engineering processes and one or more Systems Integration functions including:
a.) System trade studies and/or System modeling
b.) Requirements and Interface Control Document (ICD) development
c.) System integration, test and verification
d.) Test planning and execution with an understanding of all the interdependencies
e.) Design reviews (SRR, SDR, PDR & CDR)
• System design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering (e.g., RF, Payload, Electrical, Software, Ground etc.)
• US Citizenship with active Secret Security Clearance
Desired Skills:• Experience with system & architecture design, development, integration, test, with knowledge of automated test equipment from the component through system level
• Ability to absorb extensive technical detail and logically formulate solutions for execution on an inflexible schedule, often requiring integration of conflicting and, at times, incomplete data
• Experience ensuring the physical and functional compatibility of hardware/software products throughout the full lifecycle of the program
• Ability to interact with hardware and software developers to ensure mission requirements are satisfied
• Knowledge and application of Systems Engineering processes and functions
o Prior experience leading major milestone reviews (SRR, SDR, PDR, & CDR)
o Prior experience with systems design, requirements, development, integration & test
o Experience with Technical Baseline Management
o Experience with Risk and Opportunity Management
• Ability to get results from teams without direct authority
• Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and tackle numerous roles as part of the daily program operations
• Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very complex problems and implement constructive change
• Desired Proficiencies: CAMEO, EPDM, and DOORS

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
