Job Overview
The IT Data & Solutions Engineer plays a pivotal role in enabling enterprise-wide data and reporting capabilities across Komatsu. This role will focus on designing, building, and supporting Data Centric solutions that span across multiple business domains, including—but not limited to—Digital Transformation (DX), ERP, Customer Experience, Aftermarket, Finance, and Operations.
This role is responsible for leveraging Komatsu’s enterprise data platforms, with a primary focus on Palantir Foundry for data management and transformation, and Power BI for analytics and reporting.
The successful candidate will enable cross-functional data initiatives by aligning technical solutions with business priorities, ensuring scalability, performance, and strong data governance.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Develop, and maintain data pipelines, applications, and integrations leveraging Palantir technologies.
- Implement high-performance, scalable data transformation workflows that ensure reliability and efficiency.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and deliver data-driven solutions that add measurable value.
- Align development to promote best practices for data management, security, and governance within Palantir environments.
- Diagnose and resolve issues across Palantir-based data systems to maintain continuous platform availability.
- Perform performance tuning and optimization of Palantir tools to enhance operational efficiency.
- Apply data modeling, integration, and visualization techniques to enable advanced analytical insights.
- Support and manage the entire lifecycle of Palantir’s data tools and associated services.
- Uphold strict data protection and compliance standards in all data handling processes.
- Contribute to the development of machine learning models and innovative AI solutions
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Hiring Range
At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $$72,000-$80,000. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
