Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods in a safe, timely manner while adhering to delivery schedules.
Duties
- Safely and efficiently deliver products to customers or businesses
- Load and unload cargo following specific handling procedures
- Operate delivery vehicles such as box trucks and vans
- Plan delivery routes using GPS and navigation tools
- Communicate with customers upon arrival and handle any inquiries or concerns
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks
Experience
- Prior experience as a Delivery Driver is preferred
- Dependable
- Ability to lift heavy items and use equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts
- Commercial driving experience is a plus
- Knowledge of route driving and courier responsibilitiesResponsibilities
- Deliver a wide variety of packages to different addresses and through different routes
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle
- Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
Skills
- Delivery experience preferred
- Great organizational and time management skills
- Excellent attendance and positive attitude
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Good driving record with no more than 1 speeding ticket in last 12 months
- Must be able to handle up to 150 pounds
- No prior or pending felonies or DUIs
- Must pass background check and drug screen
