As a Facilities Project Manager for Global Facilities, you will manage and provide technical leadership of all facilities-related projects, maintenance, and services for multiple facilities in the Irving, TX area. This role drives strategic initiatives that provide world-class facilities, drive sustainability goals, and support Caterpillar’s commitment to building a better world.
You will work closely with Global Facilities leaders and Senior Leadership to champion facility projects and improvements. This position will interact with all levels of the organization, driving for results and implementing key initiatives throughout the business, while ensuring safe and efficient facilities that deliver outstanding occupant experience. This is a technical leadership role with considerable influence and high visibility.
What You Will Do
Lead facilities projects, maintenance, and services at multiple Global Facilities locations while delivering customer value and satisfaction.
Develop and implement strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate building operational or equipment risks within Caterpillar facilities.
Design and deliver operational improvements that lower long-term maintenance costs and increase equipment or service efficiencies.
Champion capital projects through end-to-end management of customer requirements and scope definition, timelines & milestones, and budget.
Collaborate with contractors on projects and services to ensure delivery of scope and adherence to all Contractor Safety program requirements.
Partner with Facilities Planning, Office Services, Corporate Real Estate, and others to provide outstanding occupant experience.
What You Have
Experience:
A bachelor’s degree in engineering or related STEM discipline or 6 years of experience in facilities project management.
Proven track record of developing and implementing capital projects.
Experience managing and delivering upon customer requirements.
Process Management:
Knowledge of business process improvement tools & techniques with the ability to understand, monitor, update, control, or enhance existing business or work processes.
Ability to scope and present business cases for new processes or process improvements, including cost-benefit analysis and risk assessments.
Service Excellence:
Deep understanding of customer service with the ability to meet/exceed customer needs & expectations by providing services in a direct or indirect manner.
Sense of urgency in response to unexpected customer requests while providing a quality of service that customers describe as excellent.
Problem Solving:
Ability to apply various approaches, tools, and techniques to identify and resolve operational or process problems.
Leadership of problem resolution efforts through the organization of people, ideas, and strategies.
Analysis of information and data in order to devise alternative resolution strategies, develop standard practices, and capture lessons learned in a problem-solving effort.
Project Management:
Deep understanding of effective project management strategies with the ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects.
Excellent resource management skills, including the ability to plan, estimate, staff, and execute projects.
Effective and regular communication of risks, vulnerabilities, and contingency plans to project team, leadership, and stakeholders.
Facilities & Emergency Management:
Knowledge of safety measures for physical facilities; ability to maintain, care for and develop commercial and physical facilities.
Professional approach to customer and vendor interactions with specific skills around resolving problems and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Ability to apply emergency management tools and techniques to prepare for, mitigate, respond to, and recover from an emergency.
Strategic & Analytical Skills:
Expertise in problem-solving, decision-making, and overcoming resistance to change in complex environments.
Strong analytical skills to interpret performance metrics, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement.
Troubleshooting Technical Problems:
Ability to anticipate, detect, isolate, and resolve technical problems in an office environment.
Effective evaluation of risk, criticality, business impact, and urgency of technical problems and proficiency in resolution plan development and execution.

Summary Pay Range:
$126,000.00 - $189,000.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
