Job Summary
As a Facilities Services Manager for Global Facilities, you will manage and provide technical leadership of all facilities-related projects, maintenance, and services within our Santa Maria, Monterrey, MX facility. This role drives strategic initiatives that provide world-class facilities, drive sustainability goals, and support Caterpillar’s commitment to building a better world.
You will work closely with Global Facilities and local leaders to deliver facility projects and improvements. This position will implement key initiatives while ensuring a safe and efficient facility that delivers outstanding occupant experience.
What You Will Do
- Maintain various facility systems such as water, utilities, lighting, HVAC, A/V, network, etc.
- Manage contracted services, such as janitorial, security, reception, pest control, facility maintenance, etc., to ensure safety of people, premises, and property.
- Ensure physical security and safety of the site through visitor management processes and contractor safety management.
- Evaluate present and future needs for care of the facility, including paint, flooring, furniture, and all other general maintenance and upkeep, as well as administration and execution of new construction projects.
What You Have
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or management.
Service Excellence:
- Deep understanding of customer service with the ability to meet/exceed customer needs & expectations by providing services in a direct or indirect manner.
- Sense of urgency in response to unexpected customer requests while providing a quality of service that customers describe as excellent.
Problem Solving:
- Ability to apply various approaches, tools, and techniques to identify and resolve operational or process problems.
- Analysis of information and data in order to devise alternative resolution strategies, develop standard practices, and capture lessons learned in a problem-solving effort.
Effective Communication:
- Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and interpret ideas & information with occupants, contractors, and leadership.
- Professional approach to both written and verbal communication; uses appropriate language to convey information.
Process Management:
- Knowledge of business process improvement tools & techniques with the ability to understand, monitor, update, control, or enhance existing business or work processes.
- Ability to scope and present business cases for new processes or process improvements, including cost-benefit analysis and risk assessments.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking
- Ability to analyze situations, reach productive decisions, and act with purpose based on informed judgment.
- Knowledge of associated tools and techniques used for decision analysis, such as a Pugh matrix, with the ability to apply these tools to business situations.
Additional Information:
- Location: Santa Catarina , Monterrey, MX
- This position requires working onsite five days a week.
- Shift : Monday – Friday (7am to 4 pm )
