Role purpose
In order to support patient access to the products of Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine and secure efficient treatment for patients:
Crafting and delivering optimized market access strategies for the portfolio, including crafting and implementing relevant pricing strategies, by collaborating with cross-functional teams
Conducting pricing analysis for reimbursement as well as price/volume scenario building, handling accurate pricing data (incl pricing approvals), communication with the Payer
Chip in to working with cost-effectiveness and budget impact models, health economic studies, real world evidence studies, presentations and publications.
Key Role Activities: What?
Develop and implement local Access & Pricing strategy across the product lifecycle
Partner with Cross functional teams to implement access plans
Partner with senior leadership on HEMAR strategy execution, deliver decision-ready insights
Chip in for health‑economic results: budget impact models, cost‑effectiveness analyses and rationalization analyses
Build reimbursement‑ready pricing analyses
Conduct international reference pricing (IRP) research and assess future price-change scenarios
Prepare and submit applications for price approvals, annual price revisions and reimbursement.
Participate in pricing & reimbursement (P&R) negotiations, engage directly with payers to advance access objectives, provide negotiation and budget impact materials.
Collect and analyze payer database insights (reimbursement values, contracting trends).
Conduct field‑based engagement to capture payer/customer insights and ensure local implementation of access strategies.
In collaboration with Medical Affairs collect local market data on patient treatment pathways, health outcomes, cost data and other data supporting market access, market maintenance and product differentiation
Collaborate with local teams and external vendors on reimbursement dossier preparation
Support Regional and EMEA HEMAR teams with required data, intelligence and local context.
Monitor competitor market access activities and provide regular updates on reimbursement changes
How?:
Be innovative and find new ways of doing business to reach patient access to Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine pharmaceuticals and services
Collaborate with the Access managers, HE Specialists, Medical and Business Managers for the alignment of plans and collection of required inputs
Demonstrate strategical, logical thinking in an evidence based manner
Be a valued partner at all strategic levels in relevant therapeutic areas
Represent Latvia in the EMEA TA community and ensure information flow between EMEA functional network (FN) and country Team
Serve as point of country contact for EMEA Market Access in appointed Therapy Area and disseminate information to local team members
Skills & Experience:
Education in Lifesciences/Pharmacology/Biomedical/Health economics or similar
Having taken projects from concept through to delivery, direct experience with local authority submissions is highly preferable.
Strong commercial understanding and a strong strategic demeanor
Up to date knowledge of country Healthcare environment, regulations, policies and procedures and the associated market (patient) access challenges
Understanding of the link between clinical data and health economics
Independence and good communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable in matrix organisation and multi-national environment.
Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel, experience in working with systems and databases, PowerPoint for executive outputs.
Analytical approach, ability to turn data into insights for different customers
Flexible and adaptable style with the ability to learn and assimilate information quickly
Proficient written and spoken English
