Program Summary
KBR is seeking an experienced B-1 Aircraft Systems Engineer to support the B-1 System Program Office located at Tinker Airforce Base.
Roles and Responsibilities
Candidate will provide B-1 specific support in weapon systems requirements definitions, development, integration, obsolescence and modernization efforts. Candidate should also be experienced and successful at solving complex engineering issues, enjoy working in a dynamic, responsive, and collaborative environment, and dedicated to the success of our customers. Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Collaborate as a member of a multi-dimensional team composed of Government civilians, military personnel, and other contractors. Clearly articulate recommendations and provide support to the B-1 SPO. Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Knowledge of Aircraft mechanical systems, particularly hydraulics, landing gear, and flight controls
Provide technical inputs, assessments for engineering efforts in support of aircraft systems organizations and technical systems integration.
Effective communication skills, strong technical communication skills and a readiness to explain complex technical issues.
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Bachelor Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or applicable Engineering discipline and 15-20+ years of directly related experience is required.
Preferred Skills:
Expertise or vast familiarity with B-1 specific Flight Control, Hydraulic, Landing Gear systems.
Clearance: Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
