Key Job Responsibilities
HR Business Partner for construction, mining, forest, forklift industrial machinery and semi-conductor industries, primarily in the US and Canada as well as Australia, Chile, Japan and Taiwan. Responsible for employee relations issues, conflict resolution, assist managers with the application of disciplinary actions and improvement plans. Provide practical and strategic solutions, strategic planning, workforce design, succession planning, talent acquisition and development, Develop, implement and manage technical workforce development program for recruitment of technical talent for original equipment manufacturers. Provide practical and strategic solutions, strategic planning and workforce design, succession planning, retention, learning, performance management, compensation, and employee engagement, proactively address and resolve key people initiatives.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Human Resource Management and two years experience in HR related to skilled technical trades (employees with backgrounds in mining, construction and heavy equipment related industries), including managing, creating and strategic initiatives for talent acquisition, development and retention programs; managing competency development program and assessments for technical employees; developing partnerships with colleges and other organizations for attracting new technical talent; DISC training; and Canadian employment laws.
Additional Information
Travel: Approximately 25% travel primarily within U.S. and Canada, with occasional international travel, to company sites. When not traveling, required to work on-site in Chicago office.
