What You’ll Do
· You’ll deliver innovative solutions that improve productivity, safety, and cost efficiency.
· You’ll be the trusted advisor for customer and dealer leadership, influencing strategic decisions on equipment management, risk mitigation, and operational excellence.
· Your work will directly impact customer development, retention, and Caterpillar’s long-term success in the mining sector.
· Own the relationship: Be the single point of accountability for the customer and dealer at the site.
· Understand the mine inside out: Know the customer’s applications, needs, and future plans to proactively deliver solutions.
· Drive performance: Execute with urgency to meet site goals and resolve issues related to productivity, cost, and safety.
· Communicate effectively: Establish clear communication plans with all stakeholders.
· Innovate and influence: Gather customer feedback (VOC) to shape new product introductions and continuous improvement.
· Manage risk: Anticipate business risks, escalate issues, and engage Caterpillar resources to ensure alignment and resolution.

What skills you will have:
Technical Excellence: Proven mining application and operations expertise, with hands-on experience in field operations or account management.
Extensive knowledge of Caterpillar products and services, including site operations, fleet maintenance, repair processes, and dealer operations. Project management experience.
Industry Knowledge: Well-versed in the Mining and Heavy Equipment industries, including key trends, challenges, regulatory factors, and influential players. Adept at applying this knowledge to a variety of business contexts.
Customer Focus: Ability to prioritize customer needs and satisfaction in all business decisions, leveraging insights to deliver tailored solutions that drive operational success.
Effective Communications: Skilled in applying communication strategies and tools to clearly convey ideas, interpret information accurately, and build mutual understanding across diverse stakeholders. Must have strong emotional intelligence, possessing the ability to collaborate with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures, internally and externally, with the appropriate influence and ability to resolve differences at dealer and customer operational level.
Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving, influencing, negotiating skills and the ability to deliver performance through relentless execution. Ability to align incentives and goals tied to site performance.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Ability to analyse complex situations, evaluate options, and make informed decisions that optimize site performance and align with strategic objectives. Strong leadership and team management skills.
Basic Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree required
Experience: Previous site management experience.
Language: Advanced English required;
Additional Information:
This role is based out of Escondida site.
- The position requires working onsite on a 4/3 Roster
- This position may require up to 70 % travel.
