Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Job Description
Role Purpose:
The Director, Corporate Controllership Transformationwill support the Senior Director, Corporate Controllership Transformation Lead and the Corporate Segment. The position will serve as a point of contact for the SAP S/4 Project, ensuring inclusive design decisions and business unit change management are a success. In this role, you and the Senior Director will align with dedicated business unit leaders on functional and data requirements and ensure business critical inputs are incorporated in the system design. You will work closely with the SAP S/4 Solution Team and with colleagues across the global Finance and Technology organizations, playing an active role in our finance digital transformation from design to deployment.
Responsibilities:
- Work with broad range of key stakeholders across Corporate Controllership (Consolidation, Financial Reporting, Global Finance Operations, etc) and Comcast Controllership to facilitate the design and implementation of end to end Enterprise processes.
- Ensure that the requirements of Corporate Controllership are addressed in a fit to standard business process design of SAP S/4 solutions and ensure that an appropriate gap analysis and end to end solution is carried out and agreed with Corporate Controllership leadership.
- Translate Corporate reporting needs into master data design of SAP S/4 solutions within Controllership and across the Comcast Enterprise.
- Build business segment stakeholder consensus ensuring understanding of, and agreement to S/4 core design principles and champion the solution being proposed.
- Oversee and support Corporate Controllership’s review of technical design (RICEFW documentation, Functional Design documentation, etc) and participate in data conversion cycles, integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Assess change readiness, provide input, and support the design and delivery of SAP S/4 training programs for Corporate Controllership.
- Prepare program status reports for Corporate Controllership leadership.
- Serve as change agent to SAP S/4 transformation.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or similar and minimum of 8 years or relevant experience
- Demonstrated understanding of SAP business processes (e.g., AP, RTR, OTC)
- Understanding of agile project mgmt. and a record of accomplishment of on time delivery
- Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to keep momentum and drive change
- Experience in organizational change management
- Solution driven and results oriented
- Ability to represent NBCU with third party implementors with a collaborative mindset
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability within functional and technical areas
Desired Characteristics:
- Previous NBCU experience or professional work experience in an SAP ecosystem preferred, ideally in a Global context
This position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Beginning January 5, 2026, hybrid employees will be required to work from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
