Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Job Description
The NBCUniversal Advertising and Partnerships Communications team is looking for a proactive self-starter who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and support the SVP of Communications while helping advance team priorities and business objectives. This individual will work in both the internal and external communications verticals, supporting employee newsletters, events, executive briefings, awards submissions, internal audience management, media tracking, and news recaps. This person will also manage various administrative functions and operational duties.
Responsibilities
Administrative Duties:
- Support administrative needs for the Head of Communications for the Advertising & Partnerships division, including managing the calendar, scheduling meetings and conference rooms, booking travel, managing expenses, and maintaining discretion at all times.
- Support administrative needs of the Communications department, including but not limited to: calendar coordination, IT, supplies and facilities services, set up and produce in-person and virtual meetings and events, take detailed notes during key meetings, keep external press lists and internal distribution lists up to date, maintain executive bios & headshots, organize team files, assist with meeting prep, manage billingand expenses, and book travel as needed.
- Monitor and manage external and internal requests from NBCU Ads & Partnerships Communications designated inboxes.
- Learn the ins and outs of Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Teams tech capabilities to share information appropriately and produce virtual/hybrid events with ease.
Internal and External Comms:
- Support ongoing press tracking including monitoring major papers, trades, newsletters and online outlets as well as social platforms for relevant NBCUniversal news and industry clips and distribute to multiple audiences including NBCUniversal senior executives, the company’s various communications teams and division-wide Advertising & Partnerships employees.
- Regularly research and provide short summaries on timely industry news and developments for the division’s awareness.
- Support the team’s Weekly Update email and distribute to members of Communications team and senior NBCUniversal executives
- Assist in the development and growth of our digital communication efforts.
- Assist in executing events (virtual, hybrid, and in-person), including managing logistics and tech, and preparing key executive briefs.
- Utilize strong writing skills in the format of employee newsletters, memos, and calendar invites with exceptional attention to detail, ensuring all employee communications are streamlined, accurate, and relevant.
- Monitor and regularly update internal communications platform with news, events, and initiatives within the division and across NBCUniversal.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year work experience in communications, media and/or advertising preferred
- Some experience working events, using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Hybrid:This position is required to contribute from the office a minimum of four days per week.
Salary range: $50,000 - $60,000 (overtime eligible)
